We had to have an impromptu farewell ceremony for the Previa last Tuesday. We sold her off to a young family who was in desperate need of a van for their two boys and their third on the way. Will may have had a tear in his eye, but he put on a brave face.
When it comes to selling on Craigslist, I’m all about negotiating down the price and I always expect the back and forth from a buyer. In this case we priced the van at a steal so that we could offload it fast, but our buyer – the sweet fam – was honest with me that they loved the van but were concerned about making rent in a few weeks if they bought it. It was a very moving, very honest dilemma that they had, and since I have a blog about not spending beyond one’s means, I had to validate their concern.
The van went to a family of boys, which is more than Will could have asked for. One day I will surprise Will with an old Previa that is in perfect working condition. I on the other hand am celebrating the van’s departure and the chance to move past our mechanical woes.

the prev will be missed.
ohmigosh I can’t believe the van is gone. We grew up with that thing! I feel slightly responsible for taking it to Round Rock and causing it to give up the ghost. I’m glad it has gone to a good home, though!
