We had some teenagers come and haul away our bushes that were in the middle of the lawn last month – part of the roof/sub woofer barter – and have been meaning to address the swimming pool shaped dirt patch in the middle of the lawn.
I didn’t really know where to begin, but all those Scott’s lawn commercials and Lowe’s coupons got me going. I showed up at Lowe’s at 8am to pick up my sod, fertilizer and some herbicide and was out in about an hour ($120 whohooo not bad!).
Then of course I got home laid out the sod and realized that I didn’t buy enough (err). So I went back and doubled my order, plus a few other things such as new hose and sprayer which I love ($180 Ok… fine)
Got home laid it all out, now feeling sick and dehydrated. Now wanting to die a little bit and wondering why I didn’t just pay someone to handle this for me. But alas I was done! I mean, done-ish.
When I got the hose to get going the connector to the faucet was broken, so there I go back to Lowe’s for the 3rd time. And I won’t go into why I had to go a 4th later on that evening.
Needless to say, I’m happy to say it’s over, and I’m praying that the new grass takes! Total $260 w/ $25 off Lowe’s coupon.
